Another first for North Harrow was to attend the Battle Proms at Hatfield House on the 21st July! Lodge members and prospective members with their partners were blessed with glorious weather and enjoyed great food, wine and fellowship and a spectacular display by the "Blades" aerial acrobatic team and stunts by a SuperMarine Spitfire, finishing with Cannons and fireworks and of course "Land of Hope & Glory". A fantastic afternoon and evening. Many thanks go to W.Bro.David Russell for organising the tickets for us (pictured in his working capacity as Operations Manager) its a hard life at Hatfield House.

I wish to express my gratitude to those 6557 members who introduced my family and I to this wonderful event and for hosting us at their set up quarters in the grounds.
ReplyDeleteWe greatly enjoyed the food, company - yours and that of your good ladies - and of course...the good wine that flowed to the satisfaction of Bacchus.
The Air acrobatic shows were awesome! The Napoleonic characters, singers and orchestra entertained us right to the late hours with ever so unforgettable melodies like - amongst others - Israel/Land of H&G/Rule Britannia.
Thank you Nigel, Vaughan, Derek and Russel.
