Tuesday was no exception. First stop on a hot afternoon was the Hercules Pillars to cool down with a pint after fighting through the hoards at Kings X and then Holborn Underground.
Then it was a short stroll across the road into Freemasons' Hall for a 4.45pm meeting at Kindred Arts Lodge. The guy at reception pointed to the lift and exclaimed Front Lift, 3rd Floor, no.3. a great help as there are about 4 floors and 8 lifts to different parts of the building
This was the second time I had visited the Lodge which has a membership of about 50, so you can always rely on a good turn out, this time 40 were in attendance including 15 guests for a Passing Ceremony which was conducted in a superb manner, a good job as there was an official visit by a Met.Grand Master Met Grand Inspector and 6 Grand officers (more than you could swing a stick at a regular meeting).
An excellent four coarse meal at a festive board that was in the held in the basement of Parker's ( private members club, i think) situated just around the corner, which after we finished at 9.30pm turns into a lap dancing club. The changing faces of London !! I beat a hasty retreat !!!!
